Vibration isolators sit between mechanical equipment and its support to prevent oscillations from spreading into the structure. Deflection offers spring or rubber hangers, floor isolators with seismic restraint and rubber floor mounts, covering HVAC equipment, pumps, fans and compressors.
Spring or rubber? Spring isolators offer the greatest static deflection: 0.5 to 2.25 in for hangers and up to 2 in for seismic floor models. The EHD neoprene hanger and RMD mounts have a deflection of 0.3 to 0.5 in. The choice depends on the load per support and on the deflection required by the specification.
